They still make money because the winners are far bigger than the losers: an average +921.8% on a winner against −84.4% on a loser. That is a 10.93× payoff, and at a 46% hit rate you only need 1.17× to break even — so the average signal is worth +379%.
The flip side: losing streaks are normal and expected. Most individual signals lose money, and the return depends on catching the minority that run.
